There’s a fine line between being arrogant and being confident.
The latter more accurately describes Jalen Hurts and, by extension, the Philadelphia Eagles team he led to an NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Much has been written about this battle at this point. There is no shortage of games of interest to watch.
At the end of the day, however, Hurts must be the straw that stirs the drink. He must deliver in the greatest moment of his career.
And there is every reason to believe that he will refuse to lose.
Hurts inspires confidence that reminds me of what I once felt with Nick Foles. He’s just not a guy to bet against right now.
It’s Brock Purdy. That he has come this far is undoubtedly impressive. The 49ers shouldn’t be caught lately.
But a rookie quarterback has not only never won a championship game…he’s never even played really well in such a situation.
The Eagles have the best guy under center. Let’s not think too much about this.
The Birds will punch their ticket to the Super Bowl.
