But some people could be punished in unexpected ways: investors in Trump’s struggling Truth Social platform, as well as supporters who joined the website at his behest.
The ex-president has an exclusive agreement with his platform which is due to expire in June, and Colbert Noted that he apparently does not want to renew it. The late night host noted a message from Trump thanking his platform “for doing such an amazing job” and saying his future is “unlimited.”
“He’s so out of it,” Colbert said. “It’s as eerie as getting this card from your dad: ‘Happy Birthday, Carson. You and your mom are going to accomplish such great things. Just go out for a pack of cigarettes. Don’t wait. Your future is limitless!
