Bihar Education Minister Chandra Shekhar’s comments last week sparked controversy after which the BJP filed complaints against the minister in all 38 districts of the state.
The last statement by Swami Prasad Maurya, who was a senior official in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet until he resigns from the BJP to join the SP ahead of the 2022 Assembly polls, is likely to spark a political storm in the UP as well.
He (Tulsidas) abused the Dalits and vice versa…if the government has a conscience and an ethic then these verses should be removed from the scriptures,” Maurya said while speaking to the news channel.
