In two days, three mass shootings shocked the country and traumatized the Asian American community.
At least 11 people were killed and nine injured in one of California’s deadliest mass shootings. It happened during the Lunar New Year weekend festivities in Monterey Park, a predominantly Asian American enclave east of Los Angeles.
Hours later, another gunman killed at least seven people and injured one in Half Moon Bay, California. This outburst took place in two places.
The attacks come at a time when the AAPI community is still reeling from a wave of anti-Asian violence.
