Fort Drum soldiers prepare for possible deployment

FORT DRUM, New York (WWNY) – Soldiers stationed at Fort Drum are urged to prepare for a possible deployment.

The Army Department announced that soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division Headquarters stationed at Fort Drum are being asked to prepare to deploy to eventually help fill in units currently in Europe. This could include the division’s highest-ranking commander, Division Commander MG Gregory Anderson.

The military says this rapid deployment would ensure that the United States continues to be well positioned to provide a robust deterrence and defense posture alongside our allies across the European continent.
