Teenager found shot dead in hotel room identified by medical examiner

SAN ANTONIO – A teenager found dead by gunshot in a Northeast hotel on Tuesday morning has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

Gabriel A. Sanchez, 19, died of a gunshot wound to the head, according to ME. His death was ruled a homicide.

San Antonio police say a woman was also found fatally shot, around 11 a.m., at the Travelodge By Wyndham in the 3800 block of I-35 North.

His identity has not yet been released by the ME.

At the latest, no arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting.

SAPD leader William McManus said on Tuesday it did not appear from the scene that there had been any disturbances. However, additional filming details are limited at this time.
