Police are investigating a shooting involving an officer in Wilmington Manor, Delaware

WILMINGTON MANOR, Delaware (WPVI) — Wilmington Manor, Delaware police are investigating a shooting involving an officer.

Police were called to the West Minuit Drive unit block for a home invasion just before 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

As officers approached the house, they encountered two armed suspects.

After failing to comply with officers’ orders, police fired their weapons at one of the suspects.

This suspect was transported to the hospital and his condition is stable. The other was taken into custody.

The Criminal Investigations Unit and the Delaware Department of Justice – Civil Rights and Public Trust Division are investigating the shootings.

And per Division policy, three officers have been placed on administrative leave pending the investigation.
