A 26-year-old man was stabbed with a butcher’s knife on a Manhattan subway train on Wednesday night in another case of violence in the transit system
The victim was stabbed in the leg and left finger after arguing with another straphanger on a northbound 2 train around 11 p.m., police said.
A woman who was boarding the train with the victim doused the dagger, who then fled the train – jumping off at the 72nd Street station on the Upper West Side, according to the NYPD.
The injured rider was rushed to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in stable condition.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
